The 1st draft of a piece of art is the purest form the piece will be in. It's raw, imperfect. Like the artist who made it - no one's perfect

Check out Fayetteville Feed's article about "Drifter: The Remaster"!
http://www.fayettevillefeed.com/2009/08/06/track-by-track-drifter/
If you ever wondered what the songs mean on the album, I explained a lot of it here. Why would I do this? One...I've never had the opportunity to vent to a LOT of people at once about why I wrote the songs, what they mean, what they mean to me, etc. Two...It was a good opportunity to make sure everyone knows about the new Drifter Remaster going on sale August 8th - the night of our show with Future Leaders of the World! Three...Fayetteville Feed is a kickass magazine for helping out us bands and helping out musicians in town.
"ONE IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE ABOUT THE ARTICLE: These are only MY interpretations of the songs."
I wrote a lot of these songs so people could relate them to what goes on in their lives. When we write songs we really want to write the lyrics so anyone can relate to them.
"One of the most rewarding things about our music is to hear the many different interpretations of our songs from so many different people."
So we hope you enjoy the article. Thank you, SO MUCH, to James Johnson at Fayetteville Feed for talking to us. Personally, I laughed hysterically at what some of "their meanings" of the songs where. Their interpretation of "Breathless" was "...asthma?" Sorry guys, not here...but you DID get the last song meaning right on "Tired of Being Tired" Here's what they said:
So for all our good friends out there - hope you get a lot out of the article and we can't wait to see you at Jester's Pub THIS Saturday, August 8th at our show with Future Leaders of the World!

"[Fayetteville Feed's] Take
In this swingin’ jingle (trying to talk the language of the streets), the kids of Stych reflect on the trouble with feeling trapped by one’s own sense of work ethic."
You guys got it right! Way to go.So for all our good friends out there - hope you get a lot out of the article and we can't wait to see you at Jester's Pub THIS Saturday, August 8th at our show with Future Leaders of the World!

As I was taking a break from working on the 'Drifter' Re-master, I realized how much Will Smith likes PANTERA http://bit.ly/13LJHS -Derek
